Below you'll find different ways you can get involved at Wesley UMC Georgetown. If you would like more information on any of our ministries, are in need of assistance, or would like to serve please contact the church office.
Our Food Pantry is open each Thursday 9am-11am. Our mission is to assist the Georgetown community by providing non-perishable food once a month to those in need. (We require current identification showing proof of Georgetown residency.) If you would like to donate to the food pantry or volunteer to serve, please contact the church office.
Our Code Purple Dinner ministry operates in the winter months on Monday evenings to provide hot dinners for those who are participating in the Code Purple ministry at our sister church, Georgetown Presbyterian Church. If you would like to donate, make food, or volunteer to serve, please contact the church office.
Our Summer Brown Bag Lunch ministry serves the community during summer break on Wednesdays 12pm-1pm on East Laurel St. Our lunches include PB&J sandwiches, a banana, cookies, and a freeze pop. We often will have fresh vegetables available as well. If you would like to volunteer to prepare or hand out lunches, please contact the church office.
Wesley's Methodist Men hold a breakfast meeting the second Sunday of each month at 7:30am. UMM involves men in a growing relationship to Jesus Christ and His church and provides resources and support for programs of the church.
Women of Wesley is a group of ladies who seek to grow as disciples of Jesus Christ and support Wesley Church. Their support ranges from decorating the sanctuary for Christmas to sponsoring children and youth for summer camp.
Every Tuesday, 4pm-5pm in the sanctuary, we meet, we talk, we pray, we grow, and we love. Consider joining us sometime to receive prayer and to offer up prayers alongside us.
Every Wednesday, 1pm-4pm in the sanctuary annex, a group of ladies (and currently one man) get together to enjoy fellowship, pray, and sew quilts and other items for various ministries and non-profits. We'd love to have you join us, even if you can't sew!
We currently meet on Tuesday mornings to read, study, and discuss the Bible one book at a time. Please contact the church office for time and location if you are interested in participating.
Our Youth Group currently meets at church every other Sunday 6pm-8pm. We mature and grow friendships through playing lots of games and talking about Jesus and our faith. (And the occasional youth outing.)
